Scribbles Open Mic For Comments, Questions and Requests!

Friday Scribbles Open Mic is on the air and the floor is yours! Next week January comes to its inevitable end, and that means we're trudging on to February. Many call for submissions popped up this month as well as free two week writing sessions for writers to choose from. So what did you choose?

I'm half-way through Indroplit's "Authors With Crayons" two-week challenge and I couldn't be happier I joined. The mini-challenge of forcing myself to write daily was much needed. Receiving daily writing prompts, having someone check in with me to make sure I've gotten myself into gear--it's what I needed!

I also submitted a short story to Dragon Soul Press' "The Wild Frontier" contest in high hopes I may place among the many submissions they are no doubt receiving. In terms of beginning of year writing kick-offs go, I'm proud of myself for this one. Busy as I've been becoming a toddler mom, still making time for my writing is everything to me, and it feels good to act on those feelings.
